Something To Think About

Lord, many kinds of people are part of Your kingdom. There are the spectators, who never come close. There are the seekers, who look intently. There are the followers, who find You, but stop just inside the door. And then, there are the kingdom builders, who believe in You, surrender themselves to You, and serve You in ways that make an eternal difference.

Faith never knows where it is being lead, but it loves and knows the one who is leading.

(Oswald Chambers)

Mother Teresa once said, "I am a pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world."

(How beautiful the world would be if each of us adopted that attitude.)

Our Blessed Mother once said, "My dear children, I am beautiful because I love. And you, my dear children, love and you will be beautiful." She also said, "If you knew how much I loved you, you would weep for joy."

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
